Merry Christmas Eve!! I’m more excited than normal because tomorrow the little girls next door are getting a puppy golden doodle for Christmas, so we are getting to watch her today/night!  

I stayed up until 2am last night wrapping presents.  This might sound weird, but I love wrapping.  I feel this sense of success after I wrap a present and it looks nice!  This morning at breakfast, my mama reminded me of the year we got her frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity 3!  We had been to New York, but couldn’t get into the restaurant (reservations needed weeks ahead)!  After Oprah presented the frozen hot chocolate as one of her favorite things, we knew it would be the perfect present!  These are some pictures of the hot chocolate above!  One of my other favorite winter traditions is watching the movie Serendipity.  Where I was first introduced to this neat place!

Frrrozen Hot Chocolate

• 6 pieces (1/2-ounce) chocolate , a variety of your favorites
• 2 teaspoons store-bought hot chocolate mix  
• 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
• 1 1/2 cups milk
• 3 cups ice
• Whipped cream
• Chocolate shavings

Directions:

Chop the chocolate into small pieces. Place it in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir occasionally until melted. Add the hot chocolate mix and sugar. Stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and slowly add ½ cup of milk until smooth. Cool to room temperature.

In a blender, place the remaining cup of milk, the room-temperature chocolate mixture and the ice. Blend on high speed until smooth and the consistency of a frozen daiquiri. Pour into a giant goblet and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
